Senators Push for Navy Ban on Tobacco Sales (Navy Times)

Five Democratic senators have written to Navy Secretary Ray Mabus encouraging him to adopt a ban on the sale of tobacco products on bases and ships. While the authorized tobacco sales bring a profit of$90 million, the lawmakers estimate that health costs and lost productivity costs from tobacco use about 21 times greater than annual sales.
