“Hookah pens”, “e-hookahs”, and “vape pipes”, subdivisions of electronic cigarettes, are growing in popularity among minors and causing trouble for health officials who are facing struggles trying to regulate and measure the spread of e-cigarettes. The worry is that many users of these products don’t realize that they are off-sets of electronic cigarettes which is leading to under reported use in national and local studies of electronic smoking devices.
