Posted on

On January 15, 2014, Chicago joined the ranks of several other major cities and states and banned the use of electronic cigarettes indoors. In a 45-4 vote, the Chicago City Council approved a measure that would ban the use of these unregulated devices in most indoor public areas, such as bars and restaurants, and within 15 feet of a building entrance. Read a Chicago Tribune news article about the ban. The ban is effective 30 days after January 15, 2014.
