‘Nonsmoking’ Hotel Rooms May Not Fully Protect Guests

In a study released by San Diego State University, smoking in hotels leaves a trail of tobacco pollution in the air and on surfaces in both smoking and nonsmoking rooms. The study suggests that new hotels should enforce total smoking bans to protect their guests and employees and that visitors to hotels that allow for smoking in designated areas should avoid those areas.
