The Oregonian reports on how Washington state’s attorney general would like to reduce smoking rates by raising the legal smoking age. The bill backed by Attorney General Bob Ferguson,  introduced into the State House on Wednesday January 21, 2015, would amend the state’s statutes, raising the legal limit from 18 to 21 years of age. It would also apply both to tobacco products and e-cigarettes.
