UPMC Study Shows the Dangers of Smoking Hookah (CBS Pittsburgh, James Garrity)

Posted on

On January 19, 2016, CBS Pittsburgh published a story on a study conducted at the University of Pittsburgh. This study is set out to see if smoking hookah for one hour exposes the user to 25 times the amount of tar as one cigarette. It also showed that even sharing a hookah pipe with numerous people does not lessen the amount of tar and toxins a person is taking in. The findings will be released in late January or early February.
