Tobacco stores will be limited to Route 46 in Garfield

In Garfield, NJ tobacco retail stores will now be limited to a business zone on Route 46. The stores will now be restricted from opening up within 1,000 ft. of a school or church. This ordinance was introduced at the January 28th council meeting. Mayor Delany asked the city attorney to write an ordinance in reaction to a tobacco retail establishment opening up next to a school. Read the news article.
