South Orange passes legislation for outdoor smoking ban

South Orange passed an ordinance that establishes 100% smokefree areas within 25 feet of any park, playground, and recreation areas, including the municipal pool. The ordinance passed on December 13 and is effective immediately. Mayor Douglas Newman was instrumental is promoting the passage of this ordinance. Read the December 15 article from the Chatham Patch.
