On October 28, 2015, the Paterson Times reported that the Paterson City Council approved a measure on October 27, 2015 to raise the age to 21 to be sold tobacco, nicotine, nicotine delivery products, smoking devices, and anything else that can be smoked. State law sets the minimum age at 19.

GASP Note:  GASP served as a resource provider on this initiative to the Paterson Health Department, and testified at the hearing.  Congratulations to the City of Paterson for being the 13th New Jersey town to raise the age of sale of tobacco to 21!
