NYC extends the ban on smoking to include electronic smoking devices (The New York Times, CBS New York, Bloomberg News, Refinery29, USA Today)

On December 19, 2013, the NYC Council voted by a landslide (43 to 8) to pass an ordinance that will include electronic smoking devices where smoking is already prohibited. This includes public places and workplaces, and city parks. The ordinance is expected to be signed into law by Mayor Bloomberg. Read coverage of the vote:
