NY Times Editorial Board Supports Tobacco Age 21 for California (Editorial Board, The New York Times)

The NY Times Editorial Board published and Editorial in support of California’s proposed bill to raise the age to 21 to be sold tobacco and electronic smoking devices. It passed both the House and Senate, and now awaits Governor Jerry Brown’s signature. Reasoning is that raising the age to 21 is to reduce young people’s access to tobacco because while their brains are still developing, they are much more likely to get addicted to these products.
