On 2/20/14, the Assembly Tourism and Gaming Committee voted unanimously in favor of moving A1080 forward to the general Assembly. Assembly Members Valerie Vainieri-Huttle, Angelica M. Jimenez, and Wayne P. DeAngelo sponsored this legislation which will make state, county and local parks, recreational areas and beaches 100% smokefree. This bill will create a uniform policy that follows the local and county trend of 100% smokefree parks and recreational areas.
