Long Branch passes smokefree beach ordinance

Posted on

Smokefree Beaches in New Jersey continue to proliferate. The Long Branch City Council unanimously passed an ordinance banning smoking on all city beaches, expanding their 2003 ordinance that had limited smoking to certain beach areas.

See a June 30, 2011 APP.com article which also discusses the possibility of extending the smoking ban to the boardwalk area and/or recreational areas.

See the June 27 Asbury Park Press article about the passing, the June 15 Long Branch Patch newsclip, and the June 23 Atlanticville newsclip.
