Posted on

On Friday June 19, 2015 Hawaii’s Governor Ige signed a bill that makes all state beaches and parks  smokefree.Using cigarettes and any tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, will be against the law in state parks starting July 1, 2015. The State “may designate exclusive use areas that shall not be subject to this section,” as per the state law.

The Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of State Parks says there are 14 state parks on Hawaii Island, including Akaka Falls State Park, Hapuna State Recreation Area and Ke Kahakai State Park.
