We don't
have a blow-by-blow guide online on how to get dining legislation.
But there's lots of supporting information and help elsewhere
on this website and in our publications. For a "model
ordinance" for smokefree public places and workplaces,
including restaurants, click here.
Americans
for Nonsmokers' Rights also has good information about how
to get smokefree restaurants legislation on their website
(www.no-smoke.org)
and publishes a guide to passing ordinances, Clearing
the Air (check their website for their contact information).
Tobacco
Scam (www.tobaccoscam.ucsf.edu)
offers extensive information on Big Tobacco's use and abuse
of the restaurant and bar industry.
