  • Vice President, James Katz, Ph.D., is professor and chair of the department of communication at Rutgers University.

  • Secretary, Sallie Sullivan, an executive secretary, has volunteered for decades in community groups including scouting, school committees, and La Leche League.

  • Treasurer, Lorraine Kowalski, has had a long career in health education, including more than 10 years' work in tobacco control, and has won awards from American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, New Jersey Society of Public Health Education, and others for her work.

  • Board member at large, Bob Corso, is the former Chief Executive Officer of the American Lung Association of New Jersey, now retired.

  • John Slade, M.D., New Jersey GASP Vice President from 1986 until his death in 2002, was internationally-recognized as an expert on tobacco control. He was a professor of environmental and community medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, a practicing physician specializing in addiction, and an author, editor, researcher, and activist.
